Ivan, the tank’s coming! Oh God, he has his helmet on! He can’t hear us! Oh God!
Seen on the noggin of every Soviet and Post-Combloc tanker, these helmets remain unique for their softer exterior and full-head covering in contrast to the more prominent hard-helmet and cap-like designs of the era. Although these are summer variants, the helmets are still well-padded to drown out noise. This allowed tank crews to hear and respond to orders given through a sewn-in microphone and comms system. We’re not able to confirm whether these are still functional, but we are excited to offer our limited quantity to collectors.
